This site is setup as a place to compare electric rates in the state of Illinois. Right now the state government is still trying to prepare for the eventual transition from an energy market where there is only one choice over to a competitive market where many energy market particpants compete to offer affordable energy to the state of Illinois. There is some ability to change providers right now but it is limited.
